Conservation

  • Jacob will type up a recommendation report during the summer
  • Can calculate CO2 per person or per square foot

Education

  • great turnout for biofuels presentation
  • members got to network with speakers; speakers were grateful for the creative discussion
  • good biofuel article in the latest Planet magazine (p 9)

Wind

  • Scott will work on the proposal during the summer
  • AS President is excited about the concept
  • egg-beater style is not recommended

Solar

  • Professor Morton to work on the kiosk
  • Nate will publish his solar study this week; Benson to post it online
  • table at summerstart?

Officers unanimously installed

  • President Rose, Vice President Alyssa, Secretary Malie, Budget Authority Michael
  • Committee leaders to be appointed by Pres. and VP next Fall
  • Meetings will be held Mons. at 5 pm

Great accomplishments were made this year! We are looking forward to another productive year in the Fall!

  • treadmill monitor in operation
  • hobo monitor for lighting schedules
  • $10,000 savings per year if lighting is replaced
  • plan of action being prepared for Rec. Ctr. director

Fund

  • Ron pays the bill for each building
  • revolving loan fund a possibility

Wind

  • will attend waterfront committee meeting in two weeks

  • past SRE members were invited to the ceremony
  • Phase II for kiosk planned for summer

  • electrical schedules documented and lights counted
  • writing action plan for Rec. Ctr.

Conservation Fund

  • Nate and Jacob have a list of maintenance projects scheduled; support energy efficiency ones
  • get fund proposal on refendum for next year?
  • Seth V. mentioned that departments should be rewarded for energy conservation; have this come out of the fund?

Education

  • Activities Council approved $50 for posters; remainder to be used for tacks and tape
  • three-person panel expected

Leadership

  • committee leaders meeting planned
  • think about leaders for next year (we will miss Nate!)
